Cold-pressed means the oil never went above 45°C, which keeps the flavour and lowers the smoke point. It is a finishing and shallow-frying oil, not a deep-frying one.
Nine months is short for an edible oil and correct for this one. Unrefined oils go rancid; the ones with two-year dates have had that possibility processed out of them.
